The relationship between an artist and his art

I found this video and have posted it here for people to see what I feel is an important part of being an animator. I feel that it is necessary to love a piece into existence. You can’t just hate something you are working on and expect it to turn out being one of the best works you’ve ever done. Of course there is a struggle between the artist and the work, like in this video clip, you can see how the animator toys around with his “specimen” in a comedic manner. I feel this way with a lot of my work too. So many times I wish i could just pull my characters off the page and either kiss them, or punch them. This video is a great representation of how I feel about my characters.

Optional thing I did for VIST 206. Making a ball bounce like the dodge ball in the class.

Don’t even get me started on how much I hate the ARCH printing room service.  It only took me four tries to get this printed correctly.
